Sunset Beach Maternity Session | Clearwater Maternity Photography

Michelle’s maternity session was scheduled for a Saturday. As I always do, I checked Florida’s crazy Summer forecast days in advance to see how things are shaping up. And guess what — a weekend full of RAIN RAIN RAIN.
So I got in touch with Michelle and asked if she would be up for rescheduling her maternity photos for the Friday before her original date because the forecast was looking better for that day.
Yes! Game on!
As the forecast tends to do by the minute here in central Florida, between 5 and 6 PM, the chances of rain on Friday grew from 30% to 80%! I knew by that time in the day that Michelle had probably already started getting ready for her photo session. So we pushed on!
We met in the rainy parking lot of a nearby bait and tackle shop so that she could follow me in to the park without worrying where to meet. And the look on the sweet girls face said it all….RAIN RAIN GO AWAY.
We waited. And hoped. And prayed. And hoped some more.
And FINALLY! The sky began to dry up just enough to feel safe getting my camera and a perfectly primped and GORGEOUS Michelle out of her fiance, Aaron’s, truck.
And boy did we strike gold! The skies were dramatic. The beaches were empty. And I had two great sports in front of the camera.
