Maternity beach photoshoots are bold and empowering. The balance between shifting sunlight, ocean breezes, and the beauty of the pregnant body makes these pregnancy photos are our absolute favorite to be a part of! We review a lot of information below about maternity sessions on Tampa area beaches here, and we hope it helps.
A few weeks before a photo session, pregnant Moms meet with Whitney at the Legacy studio to try on maternity gowns and other wardrobe pieces. Moms don't have to worry about what they'll be wearing and already know how maternity dresses and other clothing will fit.
Prior to your session, we will also choose a location. Some of the best beaches for maternity photographs are Honeymoon Island Beach, Clearwater Beach, Sand Key Park, St. Pete Beach, and Fort DeSoto.
The day of your photoshoot, we will meet either at the studio if expectant Moms are having their hair and makeup done, or we will meet at session location. We usually start photographing just over an hour before sunset until just after sunset.
If you're worried about how to pose and what to do during your session, rest assured that we have it covered. We will lead you from start to finish through posing and prompting.

- minimum of 1.5 hour minimum session time
- wardrobe, props, backdrop styling
- high resolution digital images with print release

The Legacy Studio
Whitney's maternity and newborn photography studio serves the Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg areas and is located on Main St. in Dunedin, Florida.
It is stocked with high-end designer gowns, and newborn props, wraps, and outfits so that you do not have to worry about anything except arriving.
