Did someone say Babymoon? Getaways to Clearwater, Florida are popular for pregnant couples wanting to escape the every day. The white sand beaches, warm weather, luxury hotels, and delicious dining makes Clearwater the perfect spot to enjoy a little rest and relaxation before a new baby arrives.
Having lived here for over a decade, I want to give you a few tips for your stay! I’ll talk about where to stay, dine, and relax.

Lucky you! Clearwater Beach is absolutely packed with luxury hotels and vacation rentals from the shoreline to the causeway. Here are some of my favorites!
Opal Sands Resort

The Opal Sands Resort and Spa is truly the ultimate in hotel luxury, spa services, dining, and location! This hotel features Gulf-Front views from every single hotel room, a tranquil luxury spa, and water-front dining. This resort is a great option for Babymoon couples who prefer to have options for sleeping, dining, spa services, and beach access all in one location.
Sandpearl Resort
500 Mandalay Ave, Clearwater Beach, FL 33767
The Sandpearl Resort is part of the Opal Collection and sister to the Opal Sands Resort. The 253 guest rooms and suites are described as “comfort meets style with sunny Floridian-inspired decor and private balconies with sweeping views of Clearwater, Mandalay Bay, and the Gulf of Mexico.” The hotel suites are better suited to couples looking for amenities such as full kitchens and dining rooms in their rooms.

If you’d like to take a little trip over to the quaint town of Safety Harbor, the Safety Harbor Spa is another great option for pregnant Moms and their partners! Columbia Restaurant – Sand Key

Dining at the Columbia is a wonderfully unique experience that I simply cannot speak highly enough of.
The Columbia Restaurant offers a delicious variety of Spanish-Cuban style cuisine with a menu of recipes that date back to the restaurant’s beginnings in 1905. The Sand Key location is the nearest to Clearwater Beach, offering water-side outdoor dining and a romantic atmosphere that is perfect for Babymooning couples.

Island Way Grill

If you crave hand cut steaks and fresh seafood, the Island Way Grill is the perfect dining experience for you. The Island Way Grill also offers waterfront dining, as well as a sushi bar, desserts, and cocktails.

The Clearwater Marine Aquarium
Once home to Winter of Dolphin Tale, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a popular attraction for couple’s visiting Clearwater Beach. The aquarium is known for rescue, rehab, and release of injured or ill marine animals, and has a great variety of marine animals to experience and learn about.
Shopping on Clearwater Beach
Clearwater Beach is known for being pedestrian friendly. A boardwalk, shops, and Pier 60 are easily accessible on foot for your enjoyment. Souvenir shops like Hogan’s Beach Shop and Surf Style are located along the Clearwater Beach boardwalk, and if you crave something a bit more sophisticated, Filthy Rich may be just the place for you.
Saltwater Fishing Charter

Want to relax, but your partner is feeling adventurous? A saltwater fishing charter may be the answer for the guy in your life (we know – some women love to fish too (at least I do!) but please consult your physician to determine if a saltwater fishing charter is safe during this stage of pregnancy).
