Studio maternity photoshoots can be be bold and empowering during pregnancy. Bold feminine poses and dynamic lighting makes pregnancy photography in the studio our favorite to be a part of!
While there may feel like a lot to soak in, we will make it simple for you by taking care of hair and makeup, pregnancy gowns and wardrobe, and photography set styling that represents you. So whether you prefer maternity photos in jeans or high-end luxury maternity gowns, we have you covered!
We cover a lot of need-to-know information below!
A few weeks before a maternity photo session, St. Pete Moms meet with Whitney at the photography studio to try on maternity gowns, bodysuits, and other wardrobe pieces. This way, you don't have to worry about what you'll be wearing and how things will fit.
Prior to your maternity session, we will discuss what style of maternity portraits you like. There are a lot of styles represented in the Legacy portfolio, and sometimes snapping a screen shot of the pregnancy photos that you love is all you need to do.
The day of your photoshoot, we will meet at the Legacy Photography studio. Hair and makeup styling usually begins about 2 hours prior to your session time. Pregnancy photo shoots usually take 1-3 hours, depending on the session time chosen.
If you're worried about how to pose and what to do during your session, just remember that maternity photography is our specialty. We will lead you from start to finish through posing and prompting.

- photographer and a photographer's assistant
- minimum of 1.5 hour minimum session time
- wardrobe, props, backdrop styling
- high resolution digital images with print release
